Project overview: To further promote exchanges between Chinese and American youth and enhance understanding between Chinese and American institutions.The project invites 20 young Americans to participate in field visits, on-site experiences, and exchange discussions, which will take place in the first half of 2025. The main focus will be on the protection of ancient architecture and the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage in the Zhejiang region of China.Zhejiang College of Construction,the host of this program,has organized two Sino-American youth exchange activities and has gained rich experience in event planning and organization.

Introduction of Zhejiang College of Construction
Zhejiang College of Construction is located in Hangzhou, China, on the bank of Qiantang River. It is the only full-time public construction vocational college in Zhejiang Province, formerly known as Zhejiang Construction Industry School, which was founded in 1958 and formally established in January 2002 with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial Government.
Over the past 60 years, the college has been identified as a high-level vocational college construction unit with Chinese characteristics (specialty group A), a national high quality specialized higher vocational college, a national backbone higher vocational college and Zhejiang provincial model higher vocational college. It has delivered more than 70,000 talents of various types to the construction industry and local economic construction, boasting the base and cradle of talent training in the construction industry.
The college has three campuses in Hangzhou Xiaoshan, XueyuanRoad and Shaoxing Shangyu, respectively, covering a total area of more than 165 acre. There are more than 13,500 full-time vocational students, and 6 secondary schools, including Construction Engineering School, Engineering Management School, Construction Equipment School, Construction Art School(Bates Architectural Engineering Institute), Management and Information School, and Sergeant Education School. The college offers 29 majors and 3 undergraduate majors, among which, 1 high-level specialty group (Class A) under the High-level Vocational Schools and Specialty Construction Plan with Chinese Characteristics, 6 national backbone majors, 4 majors with central financial support for the construction of national demonstration backbone higher vocational colleges, and 2 majors with central financial support for national higher vocational colleges to enhance the ability of majors serving industry development.
